Web Search Engine Optimization

Many of you know now that the interenet is a valuable resource.  Not many people know the true power of the internet and its capabilities.  There is so much information to be had on the interent that I am sure there are websites that are live but have had a single view because they are so far down in the search engine ranks that no one knows about them.  If this sounds like a problem you are having I am going to give you a couple tips on how to improve search engine rank.  All it takes is a little bit of time placing the proper components in your website and pretty soon you will be ready to go.

Improve Search Engine Placement

First things first.  Keywords are crucial to improve search engine ranking.  If you do not have any keywords in your page meta title tags, then how are the search engines going to find your site?  Think of it this way.  When you drive down the street and you see the golden arches of Mcdonalds, you already know that its a Mcdonalds because of the golden arches.  Thats the way you want the search engines to find you as well.  You want your website to be easy to find not only by the search engines but also your clients as well.  You will want to have some good keywords in the title tags that not only are related to your website but are also heavy trafficed keywords as well.  This will help people find your website and also will help improve your search engine placement.  Another little tip is to make sure you have a lot of great content.  I would take content over images.  Images take up valuable space where great content could be placed.  If you don’t already know, the search engine bots do not see the images, they only see text.  So, if the site looks great because it has a lot of pictures and not content, thats great, but the search engines only see a blank page with hardly any content.  Remember what may look great to you may not look great to the search engines.
